High-water walking route is a success

The high water walking route through the historic centre of Dordrecht is a huge success according to the local tourist office. The route guides you past 18 sites in the inner city, where it becomes very visible that water is sometimes a friend, sometimes an enemy and has shaped the city’s history.

The city and its waters are inseparable. On many points, the presence of water is clearly visible; ports, tide gauges and flood-stones show Dordrechts` facts and stories that make it a true water city

You can download the route from the website of the government of Dordrecht here
or you can go to the local VVV tourist information office
