    International expert team review MARE partner city’s FRM plans Dordrecht and Hannover

    The objective of MARE is to design and validate integrated approaches for Flood Risk Management. These processes are validated by developing concept Flood Risk Management plans  for actual (re)development sites in Dordrecht (NL), Sheffield/Rotherham (UK), Hannover (DE) and Bergen (NO). As part of this process, MARE includes a peer review process in which team of experts from each city review another city’s draft plans. These sessions serve as training- on-the-job, help to exchange local best practices and are especially valuable in validation of novel processes and innovative solutions towards decision-makers.
