    MARE presented by Minister and LAA leaders to German press

    Hannover, 14.2.2012    

    Today, Mr. Gert Lindemann, the Federal State of Lower Saxony Minister for Food, Agriculture, Consumer Protection and Regional Development, in charge for Interreg IVb North Sea Region, did open an exposition about remarkable projects with German participation – among that: EU-Project MARE.

    The Minister referred in his opening speech to the EU-project MARE and referred in particular to the two German LAA leaders from the MARE-partner City of Hannover, Jens Pohl and Paul Burkhard Schneider, and mentioned that flood protection in urban environments like Hannover is very important especially if there is a metro-line in use that is located in a flood plain.
     
    EU-project Mare was presented to the press (radio and print) and public by Paul Burkhard Schneider. In addition to that the Minister (see photograph) answered questions by the media about Interreg and EU-Project MARE in front of the projects poster exhibition.
